Professor Jiří Stelzer is a native of the Czech Republic and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He has been working at Valdosta State University in Georgia since 1999. Professor Stelzer teaches courses for master's and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) students in the Teacher Education department and has taught a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 23+ years of teaching at the university level, he has taught 7 graduate and 8 undergraduate-level courses. From these 12 courses, he developed 9 of them to be taught entirely online.
Dr. Stelzer conducts research and publishes in the areas of general well-being, multicultural education, motivation, and behavior, utilizing physical activity (PA) and PA monitoring.
