Dr. Jamie Landau is the Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning & Teaching (CELT), which supports VSU faculty as teachers, scholars, practitioners, and leaders throughout their career stages. She also oversees the Center for eLearning.
CELT-eLearning offers a range of educational programming: faculty development retreats, faculty learning communities, instructional consultations, online course design and revision, a university-wide peer faculty mentor program, and customized webinars/workshops that address pedagogical needs of an academic program, specific career stages/employee cohorts, strategic planning initiatives, current issues in higher education, or cutting-edge technologies (e.g., experiential learning, online teaching, department head training, peer faculty review of teaching).
In addition, Dr. Landau is a tenured full Professor in the Department of Communication Arts at VSU. Her recent scholarship examines faculty/employee development and teaching/learning. At VSU, she teaches the courses, COMM 1100: Human Communication and COMM 3021: Persuasion and Social Influence.
