Ashley Smith is the Wood Shop Supervisor and an Instructor in the Department of Art & Design at VSU. She teaches Foundations courses, including Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Design, as well as Jewelry & Metalsmithing courses. She earned her M.F.A. from Georgia Southern University and her BFA from Valdosta State University.
Smith has shown work in several solo, juried, and group exhibitions throughout the Southeast. Most recently her work was shown in Multi-Faceted: Mixed Media & Connected Identities, a juried exhibition at the Arts Council of Fayetteville, NC, Beyond the Scar, an online, juried exhibition hosted by Art Fluent, and Prismatic, a group exhibition at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Statesboro, GA.
