Dr. Ramirez serves as Coordinator for both Women's & Gender Studies and The Honors College and is Senior Lecturer in the department of Sociology. She recieved her Doctor of Education in 2013 from Valdosta State Univeristy.The bulk of her courses address social stratification, education & society, and studies of the family. Her current scholastic focus is addressing issues of oppressed populations within religous spaces and educational barriers for teachers. Below are recent publications Dr. Ramirez has co-authored:
